Last year’s 18 live performances brought the audience to its feet, highlighted by Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Sam Smith, Lorde, and Jennifer Lopez.

The American Music Awards were created by showman Dick Clark in 1973 as an alternative to the Grammy Awards. While the Grammy Awards are awarded based on votes by members of the entertainment industry, the AMAs are determined by a poll of music buyers. American Music Awards nominations are based on sales and airplay.

Airfare This package includes round-trip coach class service for two from from any major metropolitan airport in the 48 contiguous United States to Los Angeles, CA, Airfare taxes and a $25 per person processing fee are the responsibility of the purchaser.

Business and First Class upgrades are available at the time of booking for an additional fee. Use of frequent flyer miles for upgrades is dependent on specific ticket restrictions as determined by the airline’s frequent flyer program.
